About the Conference

All organizers of the 10th WCSP-2022 Conference welcomes experts and professional editors as well as everyone who is interested in developing research journals and academic publishing industry to this annual conference held for Russia, the CIS countries and other non-English speaking countries. We invite native English speakers for sharing the experience of scientific journals editing, academic writing and research publication activity in different subject fields.

The focus of the Conference is main challenges and solutions for development and promotion of research publications, visibility and credibility of scientific journals on global and national arena. The main themes of the 10th WCSP-2022 Conference and related discussions are improvement of existing instruments and creation of new tools for leading research journals, technologies and conditions for encouraging and promoting the results of scientific research, new forms and methods of research publications, recent trends of information exchange and information sharing as well scientific knowledge dissemination and using scientific journals as platforms for collaboration and research achievements.

International speakers are cordially invited to share their knowledge, cases and ideas about research journals’ development, international collaborations and joint projects, initiating and leading research platforms and forums, dilemmas and success of publishing industry in their countries. The presentations and discussions in English will be translated into the Russian language.

Conference presentations

We invite the participants to make presentations (oral or poster) on the Conference.
For this purpose, please:
1. Register as a speaker and enter the topic of your presentation in the Registration form;
2. Submit abstract of your presentation by 05 of April, 2022.
3. Wait until the Programme Committee informs you about abstract acceptance.
4. Send your presentation not later than 7 days before the beginning of the Conference.

With the consent of the speakers, presentations and videos of the presented reports will be published on the Conference website https://rassep.ru/conf/2022/ following the completion of the event.

Foreign Speakers

Yateendra Joshi

Yateendra Joshi (Yateen) has been copyediting scientific and technical documents for more than 30 years and, as a freelance copyeditor, helps researchers and academics in getting published in high-impact-factor journals. Certified as a master editor by BELS, the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences—only 30 editors worldwide have been thus recognized so far—and a former researcher himself, Yateen has taught full-semester courses on technical writing and conducted more than 40 webinars from March 2020 to February 2022 on successful submissions to high-impact-factor journals. Yateen is a member of the editorial board of Information Design Journal; a member of the council of EASE, the European Association of Science Editors (and chairs its training committee); and a professional member of CIEP, the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading, the UK. He contributed the chapter on designing tables in the Science Editors’ Handbook published by EASE and has given webinars on journal design and typography.

Rachael Lammey

Rachael Lammey is Head of Strategic initiatives at Crossref. Based in Oxford (but at home for the last year), she worked for Taylor & Francis for six years before joining Crossref in 2012. Rachael worked in Product Management and Community Outreach at Crossref before moving over to the R&D team in 2021. She is more than happy to talk about most things Crossref, but grant registration, data citation and organization identifiers are a good starting point.

Prof. Wei Yang

Prof. Wei Yang was born in 1954 in Beijing. He received his Ph.D. degree from Brown University, USA in 1985. Prof. Yang has worked in fracture mechanics, meso and nano mechanics, structures of aerospace vehicles, and X-mechanics. He served as Director of the Office of Academic Degrees Committee under State Council of China (2004-2006). He was the President of Zhejiang University (2006-2013), and the President of National Natural Science Foundation of China (2013-2018). Currently, he is a Professor of Zhejiang University, a Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Head of Technological Science, a Fellow and the Treasurer of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), a Foreign Member of National Academy of Engineering (USA). He also serves as Advisor of Springer-Nature, and the Chair of the China Academic Committee of Elsevier.
